Introduction

When joining the OCA, I decided early on to embark on some writing courses.  As I am currently working in a Primary School, heavily involved in the Arts, my attention was drawn to the Narrative & Dialogue course and decided upon this as my first step.

I have always loved creative writing and showed some flair for this subject at school.  However, since then I have had very little chance to use and develop my skills further.  However, I recently wrote a short screenplay for a school project for a film with a cast of 32.  This project enabled me to gain some knowledge and experience in the skills and methods of writing for this media, as well as develop my skills in the use of iMovie.  I hope that this course will enable me to take my writing skills further and perhaps combine them with the skills I am learning in my other OCA courses, namely Music Composition.
