Lead Character
Name: Matthew Blake Age:
22
Role: Secretary of
World Funds
Background
Matt was born in the slums Sconik on the Omarch Peninsula into a
family with twelve siblings. Matt's
parents are heavily into crime and the family become quite powerful in the
world of crime. Matt was a very
intelligent child and shied away from his family. Against the will of his family, Matt took a
scholarship to Trotnis International University to study World Economics and
Mathematics.
Approached by the U.U.N shortly after graduation, Matt was appointed
as one of the six ‘new world leaders’ at the age of 21, with responsibility for
‘World Funds’.
Characteristics
Matt has a thirst for knowledge and strong empathy for the feelings
and needs of others. Despite a
difficulty in making personal connections, his confidence draws others towards
him. He is highly intelligent with a
slightly obsessive personality. Due to
his upbringing, Matt has a very disillusioned view of the world, but constantly
seeks to find meaning in life. He has a
very gentle temperament, only taking his frustration out on himself. He sees it as a weakness to show emotion in
front of others.
Matt’s internal conflicts are mainly due to the lack of care and
attention in his upbringing and this has left him struggling to connect with
others, despite desperately wanting to.
However, his more traditional moral stance causes him to constantly
strive to ‘fix’ the world. He very much resents his background and is
confused by his new-found opportunity to mix in high-society at
University.
Second Character
Name: Talia Bitsworth-Ashington Age: 17
Role: Secretary for Global Communications
Background
Born in the high-society world on Creov, Talia lived a privileged
childhood, funded by her Mother’s art career.
Talia’s father was rarely a part of his daughter’s life and left when
she was 13. Talia was educated at the
Anworth Academy for the Gifted, but never excelled at school. Before being approached by the U.U.N. Talia
lived a party lifestyle of drugs and alcohol, seen at an ‘It girl’ by the
majority of the high-society.
Characteristics
Talia is very morally unaware and lives her life through the screen of
technology. She is very selfish,
beautiful and self-important and takes no interest in issues outside her own
life. She is highly addicted to a drug called
Cranium-G, causing violent outbursts and unpredictable behaviour. Talia will use her looks to get what she
wants and is not beyond seducing men and women to achieve her goals.
She is very intelligent, but hides behind the guise of her party girl
status, masking the insecurities which she inherited when her father left. She has problems trusting other individuals
and travels with a group of seven silent aides who undertake her every
request. She is outwardly emotional, but
never displays her true feelings of self-loathing.
Third Character
Name: Oriania
Laytroi Age:
21
Role: Intelligence Officer for the U.U.N Resistance
Party
Background
Oriana was also born in the slums Sconik on the Omarch Peninsula and
was a childhood friend and love interest of Matt. Oriania’s family were morally just and her
parents both worked very hard to give her a reasonable upbringing. She was educated at a local school, but was
never offered the same opportunities as Matt to further her studies. After her Father was brutally murdered by
the U.U.N. troops on a ‘memory banking’ raid, Oriania joined the U.U.N.
Resistance Party, fighting against the injustices of the U.U.N.
Characteristics
Orania has a very idealistic view of the world, instilled by her
father, and strives to make things better.
She is very kind and
non-judgmental, but has a temper that causes her to make snap decisions. Despite her moral upbringing Oriania is
beginning to lose her ideals and is becoming resigned the world she lives
in. She is highly intelligent person,
fluent in 17 ancient dialects, and very technologically savvy.
Oriania strives to find a better world and way of living, and tries
hard to maintain her ideals and pass them on to others. She is extremely selfless and will always put
the lives of others before her own.
